The People who made it possible

The Founders

A Note from the Founders

Walking the streets of Sarojini Nagar, seeing children roll themselves in the gutter with dirt in their hands instead of books would sadden anyone. We were no exceptions, seeing this tragedy was heart-shattering for us. The metro ride back home was us pondering, what we could do for children like these, what can we do to make their lives better, what can we do to place a book in their hands. That’s when the idea of Project Kitab came up, what we hope will be the Education Revolution. From sitting on a WhatsApp call for two hours just deciding the name and the website template to having meetings, delegating work, talking to NGOs, and interviewing countless people has not been an easy task, but rather an eventful journey with its own highs and lows. Was it worth it, you may ask? One hundred percent yes. With a strong force of 30+ passionate teenagers, dedicated to solving this global issue, we have been able to achieve a fair number of milestones. Late nights, absurd deadlines, countless debates, and whatnot. It’s been a long and absolutely amazing journey. (To the team members who are reading this, we love you guys!)Project Kitab is profoundly committed to our goals and ideologies. To execute them, we extend our hand to all of you out there to be a part of the Education Revolution! We strive to create a penetrating impact by taking a step in contributing to the development of our country in marginalizing fundamental education required for a better future.
